As the youngest sibling, Clyde was often picked on by his older brothers. In the face of this adversity, though, Clyde did not become angry or resentful, but rather kind and thoughtful. He was beloved by his friends, always there to cheer them up if they’ve had a rough day, encourage them on a project, or deliver them snacks if they were hungry. They were certainly sad to see him go when he moved to the campground. When he arrived, many of the other residents thought he was shy and reserved. This changed, however, as each hamster found themselves coming to talk to Clyde if they had a tough day. After a while, he became known as the camp counselor, endlessly helping others with his kind heart.
Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks can affect a hamster. Throughout his entire early life, Doug fought to stay on top, and he achieved this until the day of his arrest. 
Arrested for cat burglary, Doug spent 2 weeks in the county jail, where he was released on the condition that he live a life according to the law.
After his release, he struggled to find a way to live this new life, often finding himself drawn back to the same groups and places. That is until he met Hamilton. After they became friends, Doug stayed by Hamilton’s side. Though suspicious of the other hamsters at the campground, he always trusted Hamilton and stayed by his side through thick and thin.
Hamilton’s parents were quite poor, with both parents passing away before he graduated. This didn’t stop him from making his mark on life, though. Confident and determined, he paved the way for his ideas, one by one. By the time he was old enough to move to the city, he had become known for his leadership abilities and his way of helping others understand life better. During his time in the city, he met Doug and the two became inseparable, Hamilton creating bold ideas and schemes and Doug helping them be carried out. As a team, they were unbeatable. As friends, they were undeniable. When they moved to the campground, Hamilton met Serena and fell in love. They plan to get married in the Spring.
In school, Manny was the class clown. Everyone loved him, from the teachers to the other students. When he graduated, his parents wished him well as he moved to the suburbs with his friend, Burt. When Burt moved away to start his own escalator business a short time later, Manny decided that it was time to move as well and immediately chose the campground. As the first resident of the campground, Manny often helps the others find their place and loves to see new faces. Friendly and curious, he is often considered the “dad” of the group.
When Patricia moved to the campground, not everyone was happy. She loves competition and some of the other hamsters aren’t very fond of it. One day, while they were racing, she pushed Serena off the track to steal it for herself. Since that day, she has calmed down a bit. 
Many times, she will even make treats for fellow campground residents. When you first meet her, you wouldn’t even know that she’s got that fire in her. But pull her into a competition and you’ve got a solid opponent on your hands.
When she was in school, Serena was the most athletic hamster in her class. Now that she’s older, she’s become even more so. Eager to run, she loves to take on new athletic pursuits. This doesn’t mean that she’s aggressive, though. Serena is actually very sweet. 
When she first met Hamilton, this was the first thing he noticed about her. Her natural ambition keeps her life moving, as she’s strong-willed and eager to take on the world. Through their time at the campground, they have fallen in love and plan to get married in the Spring.
